Tim Samway heads the institutional
business and the Sydney office of Hyperion Asset
Management Limited. Previously he held positions
with Wilson HTM as a Divisional Director - Wealth
Management and was the General Manager of Wilson
HTM for over five years. He is a substantial shareholder
in Hyperion Asset Management.
Prior to joining the Wilson
HTM Investment Group, Tim held a long-term position
as a director with boutique Sydney private client
broking firm Burrows Ltd. Tim originally trained
as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins
& Sells in Newcastle, performing a number
of senior roles over a 10 year period. As part
of his community involvement, he contributes to
the Australian Chamber Orchestra Capital Challenge
committee and is a Member of the St John's Cathedral
Completion Fund Board. He is also a member of
the Wilson HTM donation
committee.
RACHEAL CROFT, Client Service Manager
Racheal has 14 years experience in Funds Management.
Racheal’s role at Hyperion is to deliver a high level of quality service to clients and to provide institutional client reporting.
Prior to joining Hyperion in January 2008, Racheal worked for 12 years at Deutsche Asset Management, (formerly State Super prior to the Morgan Grenfell acquisition). Racheal had numerous roles over this period including research assistant to the Australian Equities/Resources team, also a PA role to the Head of Australian Equities and the equities team and Head of Listed Property Securities (RREEF) – Asia Pacific.
Racheal has completed a Diploma of Financial Markets (SIA) and a Diploma in Financial Services (Kaplan).
EMMA HUDSON, Client Service Officer & Personal Assistant to Institutional Business Director
Emma joined Hyperion Asset Management in April 2005 as Client Service Officer and in 2006 her role was expanded to Personal Assistant to the Institutional Business Director.
Emma’s position at Hyperion is customer service orientated and it is her duty to make sure all of the clients are given the best service possible.
Prior to joining Hyperion, Emma worked for a recruitment agency for several years as a Receptionist, following on from a similar position held with a large law firm. Both these roles involved dealing with clients on a daily basis and being the face of the company.
KEIKO IWANO, Client Service Manager Japanese Business B.A.(ICU, Tokyo)
Keiko has over 18 years experience in the financial industry.
Keiko joined Hyperion Asset Management in 1996 as one of the founding members of staff, assisting Dr Manny Pohl’s Private Portfolio clients and her own Japanese investors.
Prior to joining Hyperion, Keiko was a Bank Officer at Westpac Banking Corporation Tokyo Branch, dealing with institutional investors for foreign exchange and money market transactions. She transferred to the Gold Coast in 1991, where Keiko worked as the Customer Service Manager in the retail banking division, focusing on high net worth clients from East Asian countries.
GABRIELLE SHORT, Executive Personal Assistant to Managing Director & Administration Officer
Gabrielle has over 15 years experience in the financial industry. Gabrielle joined Hyperion Asset Management in 2002 in the role of Executive Personal Assistant to the Managing Director, Dr Manny Pohl and in addition has recently taken over the functions of Administration Officer. Gabrielle commenced employment with Wilson HTM in 1997 as Team Assistant for several Financial Planners and Stockbrokers. Thereafter, she held positions with the Wealth Management department of Wilson HTM as the Implementation Manager and Assistant to the Wealth Managers.
Gabrielle emigrated from New Zealand to Brisbane in 1996.
DANIELLE STITT, Marketing Manager
B.Eng (Chem), MBus (Banking & Finance)
Danielle is responsible for all aspects of marketing for Hyperion Asset Management. She is based in the Sydney office where she is involved in setting the marketing strategy and its implementation for both the institutional and retail businesses. She works closely with the Institutional Business Director, Tim Samway.
Danielle was previously marketing manager at Wilson HTM in Brisbane before leaving the firm to work as marketing manager for the international management consultants Booz Allen & Hamilton and the TV commercials production company Prodigy Films. Over her career Danielle has worked with ABN Amro, Citibank, Macquarie Bank and IBM, predominately in marketing roles. As part of her community involvement, Danielle is on the Parent Committee of the McMahons Point Community Preschool and Occasional Child Care Centre.
